I enjoy cartoons, baking pies, tap dancing, talking to plants, planning adventures, making up stories, making things and being awesome. I live in Portland, Oregon with some people I love. I like to say I draw with thread, making work inspired by current events, other art, the people in my life and the magic of the surrounding world.
During 2014, I experienced a number of shifts in my life that changed the way I thought about embroidery, it’s place in the art world and it’s use as a tool of protest. Over the last six years, my work has become increasingly political. I try to make things to inspire people to do better, be better for the world.
